SECURE COACHING
TERMS AND CONDITIONS AGREEMENT

This Coaching Agreement between Secure Coaching, “the Coach,” and ___the Client,” is effective as of booking service. It is specifically designed to outline the coaching process and its distinction as a helpful process for personal and leadership development. Service Provided: The service being provided under this agreement is coaching, which is not advice, consulting, nor therapy and may address specific personal projects, business successes or general conditions in the client’s personal or professional life. Coaching is a partnership between coach and client that utilizes a thought- provoking and creative process to inspire clients to maximize their personal and professional potential. Coaching is a collaborative, solution-focused, results-oriented and systematic process in which the Coach facilitates the enhancement of work performance, self-directed learning and personal and professional growth of the Client. The function of the Coach is to partner with the Client to identify topics and goals to be coached around and to utilize the

Client’s knowledge, skills, and abilities to:

  1. make decisions about changes the Client would like to make;
  2. develop an action plan to make those changes; 
  3. implement the action plan; and 
  4. develop strategies to maintain the changes made. 

Throughout the working relationship, the Coach will engage the Client in direct, personal and often challenging conversations. The Client can count on the coach to be honest and straightforward in asking questions and making requests. The Client understands that the power of the coaching relationship can only be granted by the Client and that, while the Coach may follow-up on previously discussed matters, the agenda for each session is set by the client. The Client also understands that all personal and professional decisions born out of the coaching process are made at the sole discretion of the client. If the Client believes that the coaching process is not working as desired, the Client will immediately communicate that to the Coach and both Client and Coach will take action to remedy the situation. 

The Client understands that successful coaching requires an active collaborative approach between Client and Coach. Ultimately, the Coach plays the role of a facilitator of change while it is the Client’s choice and responsibility to enact change. 

Within the Diamond Design of Flourishing framework that Coach uses, if they are qualified to use counseling, consulting, releasing prayer or ART therapy, the Coach may ask the client for permission to use one of these approaches. We believe coaching is extremely effective but at times one of the other modalities might be used. Again, permission would be asked of the Client. It is not within the scope of Secure Coaching to do any diagnosing in a therapeutic way.

Responsibilities of the Coach and Client:

As a Coach, I will: 

  • Be clear with you about the coaching relationship, including any expectations
  • Be prepared for each coaching session 
  • Come to each coaching session promptly at the agreed upon time 
  • Maintain the ethics and standards of behavior set by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) 
  • Maintain complete confidentiality, within the limits of the law, unless you give me explicit permission to share content with others 
  • Represent myself to you with honesty and integrity and will refer you to another professional if I am not within my area of expertise or comfort

As a Client, I will:

  • Thoughtfully prepare for each coaching session 
  • Come to each coaching session promptly at the agreed time 
  • Seek to complete any between-sessions action steps (homework’) 
  • Be honest and forthright in my discussions 
  • Receive, accept and act on feedback 
  • Raise, and frankly discuss, any issues that relate to the goals we are working on

All of our conversations are completely confidential unless you authorize release of information, or if required by law. Your trust is sacred to us.
